SCORE has been part of IFMSA since many years ago and has as a main goal promoting research between medical students.

These days, research is the future and present of medicine. Most of us, doctors, will be dedicated to our work, curing diseases, but...How COULD we cure them or at least help the patient in his fight against disease? Yes, it is what you are thinking, RESEARCH.

It seems a very ambiguous term but in fact, after participating in a project, one realizes that they work with very strict and clear protocols, directed towards a specific challenge. Today everything is based in the possibility of making money; from here we want to show that science is made to improve people's health and not only to enrich the pharmaceuticals companies.

SCORE is for those medical students who have a minimum of curiosity. We offer them the possibility to do one month training in a research project in another country. Meeting other culture, improve knowledge in a medical area or guide their future dedication, in the research field or working as doctor in a foreign country. Sometimes, this way is not the easiest one, so that it is needed to show the right way for students to know and consider it. Besides, from our permanent committee we try to do other activities dedicated to promote research. SCORE invites you to innovate, develop and discover medicine as a whole, in this multidisciplinary field that tries to eradicate disease and avoid human suffering.
